On a night filled with emotion, Bo Levi Mitchell led the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to a 32-21 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, just hours after the team learned of GM Ted Goveia’s passing.
Mitchell threw two touchdown passes, Greg Bell added two more scores, and the Ti-Cats improved to 3-3 at home in the game designated as “Team Ted.”
Goveia, a Burlington native and longtime CFL executive, died Friday at 55 after a battle with esophageal cancer. Hamilton honoured him with a pregame moment of silence, a first-quarter tribute video, and an on-field salute.
