The Narrows in Zion: A Bucket List Adventure!

Day 3 of our time at Zion National Park truly was the best day EVER!! We got to make our dream of hiking through THE NARROWS are reality! And as you can see in this vlog we had the time of our lives.

The Narrows is the narrowest section of Zion Canyon. This gorge, with walls a thousand feet tall and the river sometimes just twenty to thirty feet wide, is one of the most popular areas in Zion National Park. And one of the best parts....no permit required (up until Big Spring which is where most people would end their journey anyway)! And just be aware that hiking The Narrows requires hiking in the Virgin River. So you absolutely must be okay with getting your feet wet since there is no trail. Which means close-toed shoes and a hiking stick should definitely be considered because there are incredible amounts of uneven rocks and slick spots all over The Narrows. SAFETY FIRST!!! Oh, and wear clothes that are appropriate for the season you're going ;). There is plenty of research at the link below.

Another thing to know is most people choose to start their hike from the Temple of Sinawava via the Riverside Walk and then walk upstream before turning around and hiking back down to the Temple of Sinawava. So be conscious of your timing as the last trolly back to the park is at 7pm and this hike can go on for hours and hours.

We had the best time and were so fortunate to be surrounded by Mother Nature in all her glory. We couldnt' stop walking a few feet and then just stopping and staring at the absolute beauty that are these canyons surrounding you everywhere you look. And walking in the water is childhood dreams come true haha.
