Carnival of Rust (Munkustrap/Victoria)

Munkustrap and Victoria are in love with one another, but their road is packed with obstacles.

The other Jellicles are slightly shocked and disapproving of their relationship (you can see it with Cassandra, and then later Tugger), because they believe Munkustrap ought to choose an adult queen (like Demeter) and Victoria should choose a younger tom (like Misto).

Munkustrap is also worried about Macavity and is determined to protect the tribe (especially Victoria) from him.

Finally, Victoria is very popular with the young toms (Plato, Misto, etc), and neither one of the couple quite knows how to deal with it.

The 'carnival of rust' refers to how they feel when they're forced to be apart. But it ends happily, with the pair reuniting. They're determined to stay together, whatever happens.

Note: the lyrics explain a lot of it. Also, there are red-tinted bits in the middle of the video (Bombalurina's dance). Focus on the background; you can see Munkustrap and Victoria snuggling!
