In today’s video, dear stranger online, I set out to find the rarest shiny Pokémon I ever hunted. A Pokémon who can objectively change genders and pass through a transition as it evolves: Azurill.
In Generations 3 to 5, there is a 33% chance that an assigned female at capture Azurill will evolve into a male Marill. A 1 out of 4 chance is okay, but if you want to get a SHINY Azurill that has a gender change experience?? That’s a lot rarer. 1/32,768 odds to be exact, four times over the full shiny odds. Today, I will dive deep with you down the entire RNG background behind defining a Pokémon’s gender, and show you how even harsh numbers can actually be a bit fluid sometimes. And walk you through this bold hunt, that I did for pride and for charity.
