In 2005, Matanya’s Hope Founder Michelle Stark traveled to Kenya with her family to celebrate her father’s 70th birthday. Little did she know that her entire world was about to change!
She traveled to a Maasai village and met a young girl named Nasieku. By 2007, Stark had sponsored Nasieku (with her parents blessings) to go to school. Since then, more than 250 students continue their sponsorship annually and attend school (from nursery school through university Masters Degree programs). Many have graduated and are now practicing law, teaching, tourism, culinary arts, pharmacy, nursing and more!
