VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Bob was a newly retired from the schooner industry in Maine, when he decided to convert his 1977 Gillig school bus into his tiny home on wheels. His bus features a Diesel 671 center-mount engine, or a "pancake engine" because it is laid on its side. Sail boats were his inspiration for the interior of his bus. He used self-planed locust wood for the framing of the bus, the navigation station and the table. This technique made the framing of the bus very light, and created a warm aesthetic throughout the interior. Being the all around renaissance man he is, Bob also added a full recording studio, with vocal booth in the toilet! We love that Bob kept it old school like the cockpit, and he also has and ENORMOUS amount of solar! Such a great tour ~ Thanks Bob
