This video displayed reaction mechanism of 2,4 DNP with carbonyl, also called as Brady’s reagent, the carbonyl group i.e aldehyde or a ketone, here phenyl C6H5 is the part of name & phenyl comes from the fact that it has a benzene ring structure in it. As shown in the mechanism its a hexane with a circle in the middle& each corner we have a Hydrogen i.e C6H6 & on removing a ‘H’ its gonna be a phenyl group ,on the left of its structure is hydrazine part.As we have a NH2,NH2 groups & on numbering thecring 1,2,3,4,5,6.left part is the hydrazine part & at 2 and 4 positions we have nitro groups hencec2,4 -dinitrophenyl hydrazine on position No 1 so basically as a base benzene ring with what is numbered at position 1the “H”attached & by removing the H from benzene at position 1& removing a hydrogen from hydrazine & than
a No2 group attached to a benzene at position 2. So basically this video is all about a mechanism. This video presents what us 2,4-DNP test and reaction mechanism of 2,4-DNP test with carbonyls.
