Tunis is the vast capital of Tunisia, a North African country, located on the shores of Lake Tunis, not far from the Mediterranean. Its highlights include an ancient medina and the Bardo, an archaeological museum where famous Roman mosaics are displayed in a 15th-century palace complex. On the northern outskirts of the city lies a park housing the ruins of ancient Carthage.
تونس هي عاصمة تونس الشاسعة، إحدى دول شمال أفريقيا، وتقع على ضفاف بحيرة تونس، على مقربة من البحر الأبيض المتوسط. ومن أبرز معالمها مدينة عتيقة ومتحف باردو الأثري الذي يعرض فسيفساء رومانية شهيرة في مجمع قصور يعود للقرن الخامس عشر. وعلى الأطراف الشمالية للمدينة، تقع حديقة تضم آثار قرطاج القديمة.
