📌 What is the Flow Meter Demonstration Unit ("FME18") and how does it work?
The "FME18" Flow Meter Demonstration Unit, designed by EDIBON, is used to study fluid flow through three measurement devices: a Venturi tube, an orifice plate, and a variable area flowmeter, all connected in series for comparison and precise flow rate calculation.
The unit includes a hydraulic circuit with several pressure taps linked to an eight-tube manometer panel for observing pressure changes at different points. An air inlet valve connects to a manual pump, allowing adjustments to the pressure levels.
A flow control valve lets users modify the flow rate, while adjustments to the system’s static pressure are made possible through the Hydraulic Bench. This unit provides an effective way to analyze fluid flow and pressure variations in a controlled environment.
