Join me as I make my way from Tokyo Station to Nakano Station, via the Chuo Line. Along the way, our train will pass Kanda, Ochanomizu, Yotsuya and Shinjuku Stations.
Nakano is a ward in Tokyo, and it is known for a very special mall called NAKANO BROADWAY which was built in the 1960s. It is a popular destination for anime, manga and otaku-related items, much like Akihabara, except it is all tucked neatly into one mall. No anime hunt or otaku pilgrimage is ever complete without a visit to Nakano Broadway, which I will feature in my upcoming videos.
Nakano is also known for its quaint alleys filled with characterful eateries and pubs, and charming shopping arcades known as shotengai, namely Nakano Sun Mall. To the South West of Nakano Station, lies RENGA ZAKA, comprising of alleys and lanes lined with eateries, izakayas, bars and restaurants.
So sit back, grab a coffee, and enjoy the journey from wherever you are.
