This video captures the types of faults that are responsible for the sizing of earthing system as per IEEE 80 or EN 50522. It explains the reason why we must consider LG/LLG faults on primary (generally HV) side and not consider 3-phase short circuit or Line to ground faults on secondary (generally LV) side for sizing the earth mat/conductor in case of Metros.
