We go over some of the methods I use to solo with chord shapes and melodies rather that just single notes. The method can be split into three steps:
Step 1 - Know the numbers in any chord shape you are playing
Step 2 - Create smaller chord shapes that are more useful to use
Step 3 - Play all of the other chords in the key, on top of the chord you are playing over.
