I really like using organic materials mixed in with wood. This one I used acorn hats in resin with a piece of walnut, and I think it really enhances this piece. I love the colors in the resin, and I think it makes the white oak that I used better. This one was a really long project, but it was a huge amount of fun. Afterwards, I took the acorn to a friend of mine that does chainsaw work, and had him make me a squirrel. I really think it made this piece stand out, but let me know what you think of this oversized nut for the squirrel that weighs about 80 pounds. I hope you enjoy this one, and thanks for watching.
