I have been dealing with a lamp outlight and the associated chime for the last few months. After part-time troubleshooting, I broke out my Innova diagnostic scan tool to narrow down the cause. I have finally discovered the fix that worked for me. I needed a new tail light assembly. So I replaced them both.
