I wanted to make an aluminum gate for my backyard, but think this will be the last time I make one out of aluminum. It ended up being about double the price, which wasn't the biggest issue, this thing was very hard to keep square because of all the heat distortion. Perhaps a tig gun would have made this easier but the amount of heat made this more difficult than it was worth. The end result was nice but I will still with regular steel.
