What was a once active area in the West Midlands for freight traffic, Wednesbury sadly saw its demise in the early 1990s. Local industries continued to decline and the emphasis for freight movement once again, was shifted onto road traffic.
In its dying days as featured here, typical operations are shown at Wednesbury Yard with the arrival of two class 31s and the shunting operations that followed.
