Come down my favorite section of river on a beautiful 70+ degree day (in February🤯) for a full lap as I break down my favorite first time lines, fun moves, and even throw in some bonus beatering.
The Chattooga River is a very special pace - it is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but provides some of the best intermediate paddling progression grounds in the southeast. Designated as a Wild and Scenic River in 1974, it is protected by Congress against development along the river banks and damming ensuring that we can continue to enjoy such a beautiful part of mother nature; but its important for everyone to contribute to the continuation of this status and funding from the Forrest Service by filling out the boater registration forms, and practicing leave no trace policies. It should also be taken into consideration the remoteness of the run, and the need to be self sufficient for longer in any emergency situations.
I hope this helps someone get to experience my favorite place on earth, and im excited to share more with everyone as I continue to learn more about mamatoogz. Hope to see you out there!
