The CW Trident has been not only popular since its earliest iterations, it’s also been extremely influential. The value proposition that the Trident line has commanded over the years has really set the benchmark for what you can expect to receive in an affordable independent diver. So much so, that it’s even helped pave the way for many other microbrands to really continue a revolution in quality, design, and affordability that has pressured some of the entry-level and even mid-tier mainstream brands to take notice as well, which has helped spur a myriad of updates to the class leading midrange divers. With the Trident Mk3 release, Christopher Ward is once again putting the industry on notice as the bar is raised to unheard of levels, even in the highly competitive Microbrand Diver market. It’s only fitting that the ‘arms race’ of affordable diver improvements and innovations CW helped kickoff, is now thriving and ready for another benchmark release from the brand. The new C60 has cemented the Trident name as a permanent staple of the ‘my first real watch’ conversation and even moved it into the ‘Affordable Grail’ territory as well.
