Post-war Rootes Group cars such as the Hillman Minx for example, in its various guises, the larger Super Minx, and the rear-engined Hillman Imp, jostle for attention among in-period snapshots of classic cars such as the Humber Hawk & Super Snipe, Sunbeam Talbot 90, Singer Hunter, and the Humber Imperial. Does anyone remember the Singer SM1500 saloon for example? Or the 1947-1948 Hillman Minx, which married a pre-war bodyshell to a front end more in touch with styling trends developing in the late 1940s? All these classic British cars and more, including cars unique to export markets such as Australia and New Zealand, make it in here to form this unique collection of photographs, in colour and black & white.
Inevitably not every variant of every model will be found here, but as a snapshot of cars produced by the Rootes Group following WW2, I think it covers most of the well-known makes and models.
