Bold Roast Without the Char

In this video, I put together a roasting plan for a bold roast without the char for the same Dominican Republic coffee I roasted to a beautiful medium/light roast in my last video. I’ll be roasting this profile on my Mill City 500 gram drum roaster and the Fresh Roast SR540 air roaster.
Each of these roasts will have the same browning and development phase times.

The takeaways for this video include:
1. How my plan changed based on roast level for the same green coffee
2. Understanding how roasting plans vary based on the type of roaster you have.
3. Not all coffee has to be roasted dark to enjoy the bold, dark, rich flavor notes
