Nestled beside the lush, tranquil Taman Tasik Permaisuri in Cheras, this pasar tani (farmer’s market) hits the sweet spot between authentic local flavor and weekend chill vibes. From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of grilled meats, simmering curries, and sweet kuih-muih had us locked in.

We kicked things off with a generous serving of ayam percik, smoky and drenched in a creamy, spicy coconut sauce that had us wiping the plate clean. Next up? The ever-comforting nasi ambang—a hearty mix of rice, fried noodles, chicken, sambal, and serunding, all packed into one glorious bundle. Not to be missed: the murtabak, thick, crispy, and bursting with seasoned meat.

Sweet tooth Troopers, don’t worry—we got you. We stumbled upon a stall selling puteri mandi and sira pisang, two traditional East Coast treats that delivered serious nostalgia with every bite. Soft, sticky, coconutty bliss.
