In this video, we react to a day in the life of London’s Met Police Emergency Response Team — a unit we honestly knew nothing about going in. It turns out they’re the first on scene for all kinds of calls across the city, handling everything from disturbances to suspicious packages and beyond.

We were surprised by just how much ground they cover and how quickly they have to adapt. They’re trained to handle most situations on the spot but also know when to call in backup from more specialized units. It gave us a real appreciation for the kind of pressure UK police officers deal with every day.
