KARŞI ATAK TİMİ (CAT) - COUNTER ATTACK TEAM (CAT)

Karşı Atak Timi (CAT), Cumhurbaşkanı ve Cumhurbaşkanlığı Merkez Binasının koruma görevini yürüten özel yetiştirilmiş personeldir. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Koruma Daire Başkanlığı'na bağlı olarak görev yaparlar. Özel Harekât Daire Başkanlığı'nda eğitimlerini tamamlamalarının ardından Amerika'daki Diplomatik Güvenlik Dairesi'nde eğitimlerini tamamlarlar. Personeli daha önceden Polis Özel Harekât olarak görev yapmış tecrübeli ve yetenekli polislerden seçilir. Görevleri; muhtemel bir saldırı durumunda devletin zirvesinin güvenliklerini sağlayarak sağlıklı bir şekilde olay yerinden uzaklaştırmaktır
