British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is taking questions in parliament after MPs voted for an early general election on December 12, aimed at breaking the Brexit gridlock. This early election will be the first December election since 1923. MPs on Tuesday voted 438 to 20 in favor of a snap poll, despite misgivings on both sides of the House of Commons. The bill needs to be approved by the House of Lords before becoming law.
