For most Medievals, just getting through the day was a relentless struggle, trying to dodge dying either in battle or from some deadly disease. Being a peasant meant a routine of repetitive slog, usually farming the land or working in some capacity for the local lord. For the poor, food options were very limited and most of what they ate had to be home grown or foraged. What little money there was, would often be spent on bread, but even that became a problem when there was either a famine or a drought. Welcome to Medieval Madness.
