Leather Spacecraft Project | Part 6: Crafting The Side Hatch | Step-by-Step Tutorial

Hello and welcome to part 6 of our series on how to build a leather spacecraft by hand. In today’s video, we’ll focus on assembling the small hatch, which is stitched into the center of the side frames of our spaceship.

The side hatch, while simple in design, adds a great deal of character to the overall side frame assembly. It enhances the volume and provides additional stability to the frame due to its multiple layers of leather. For this project, the hatch also serves as the entry point for bills and coins, as the spacecraft is designed to function as a money box.
