It's MASSIVE. It's POWERFUL. It's BIG. Here is part 2 of the world's largest steam locomotive, the UP 4-8-8-4 BIG BOY, as it visits West Chicago! We will see BIG BOY as it backs into the display siding at the Union Pacific Larry S. Provo Training Center. At the beginning of the video, we are treated to the symphony of a dazzling P5A from a METRA F40PH as it arrives and departs. I was a bit late to the party for this one. We will then venture to the top of the bridge where we watch as the UP steam crew carefully walks the engine onto the display siding as a UP stack train passes. As the engine was passing under, the sound was deafening as that Hancock 3 chime blasted right next to my feet. After BIG BOY stopped, another UP stack train passed. I climbed down the bridge to get some close-up shots of the engine.
