This planet is full of extremely competitive and unforgiving ecosystems, and the animals that manage to survive in these conditions have many useful adaptations that allow them thrive.
Some animals need to be able to sprint at great speeds to avoid predators, some have to be able to deal with freezing temperatures, and some are able to adapt to a wide range of conditions and habitats.
This is why you'll often find hardy, aggressive creatures in some of the most demanding areas of the world, but there are also some rather helpless creatures that don't seem to make much sense at all.
There appears to be a few species that have little to know survival instincts at all, or that seem to have no useful adaptations or no desire to breed.
In today's video I'll be going through just a few species that fit into this category, and we'll start off with some of the strangest creatures in our oceans.
