A Peek Into the Noisy Waters Mural Festival, E1: FRIDAY | A LiveBellinghamNow Community Highlight

For three years in a row, local placemaking agency and nonprofit, Paper Whale, has been putting on one of Bellingham's newest and most impactful events to date.

The Noisy Waters Mural Festival is a three-day fest that brings EIGHT different artists from around the world to compete in LIVE PAINTING of murals for a chance to win one of three prize walls where their public art will be showcased the following year.

This festival has resulted in so much new public art of all art styles to come to Bellingham and bring more life and color to our community. In this three-part series, we're taking you on a recap of this year's festival, and hear from both Paper Whale and this years' competitors on their experience with this festival and the importance of public art in Bellingham.
