A solo bodhrán interpretation of a Scottish folk tune.
The original tune is a slip jig, but I'm playing it in reel time.
I also made a balls of the second verse, but that won't bother most people.
If it does bother you, please have a go at me in the comments!
Lyrics:
Rattlin' Roarin' Willy, he went to the fair,
for to sell his fiddle and buy some other ware.
Parting with his fiddle, a salt tear blint his eye.
Rattlin' Roarin' Willy, oh will you come home to me.
Willy, come sell your fiddle and sell your fiddle so fine.
Willy, come sell your fiddle and buy a pint of wine.
If I was to sell my fiddle the world would think I was mad,
for many's the rant and diddle my fiddle and I have had.
As I came across Cloch Allen, cannily keek it, Ben!
Rattlin' Roarin' Willy was sitting at yon bordeen.
Sitting at yon bordeen, and among good company.
Rattlin' Roarin' Willy, oh will you come home to me.
