What a great accessible route along the Bude Canal, perfect day and fun had by all!

We had read that this was an accessible walk so we wanted to try it out.
What a real treat it was.
Parking at the large car park near the tourist information office and disabled toilets. 5 disabled bays.
We went onto the tow path and followed the great flat tarmac pathway along the side of the river. No bikes are allowed on this so it was lovely not to have to watch out. There is a designated cycle path running parallel.
It was absolutely beautiful there along the canal side. We had the pleasure of seeing the young adults in their kayaks have the best day ever. Everyone was in high spirits.
They currently are repairing the bridge further down, which when repaired you will be able to go over ( I had a scooter and i couldn't get over but if you had a wheelchair I'm sure you would be able to if you don't mind going up a metal ramp) then carry on on the right side of the canal with a cafe at the end.
Following our steps back to the tourist information and continuing on the side of the canal leading to the beach.
Plenty of places to eat and lots of outside seating.
We couldn't get down to the beach but the view was wonderful!!
