Part One- Background and masking

Color Mix:

All colors are created by mixing Primary Elements Arte-Pigments and Vivid Clear acrylic enamel and treadmill oil

Recipe: Pour ½ - 1 oz. Vivid Clear Enamel in bottom of salsa cup- NEXT add ¼ - ½ tsp Primary Elements Arte Pigments to salsa cup, break down the pigments by mixing with popsicle stick. Next add 1 tsp Liquitex pouring medium, mix in water a few drops at a time to desired consistency. Finally add a few drops of treadmill oil (silicone oil)

Coarse colors: reds and browns can take longer to mix- Video 13 A by Leslie ohnstad shows the process

TIP: Pour half of vivid clear enamel you plan on using in salsa cup. Next add your pigments, begin to mix. Add few drops of water to assist in dissolving color and keep stirring a few minutes until color begins to smooth out.
Final step add the other half of your acrylic base (vivid clear), then mix as you normally would
