It's a brilliantly simple idea to present Traditional Nursery Rhymes in an age appropriate modern and fun way. With Human presenters like the fabulous Derek who confidently give it all. Clearly knowing how to connect with very young children. Puppet Monkey is puppeteered with huge skill and plays up to the tropes of Monkeys being clever, curious and slightly cheeky. Enormously engaging as a character. You totally believe the relationship between Puppet and human presenter.
The Show and Live Presentation has Colourful relevant production content that doesn't try to emulate those of Drama or Si-Fi or impress the SFX Industry. They could have been created in a School Nursery. Absolutely no sub text of trying to appeal to Mums, students or the recovering clubbing crowd either.
Refreshing Children’s Pre School content that is free to air, well made and targeted.
Sesame Street and similar came out of forward looking educational 60’s ideas like the ‘Head Start’ program and it's still the case that it is the lower socio economic group children that benefit the most from Children’s Pre-School TV. Delightful.
