For this project design, I used a thrifted guest towel holder as my base.
I used a variety of paints and pastes from Prima Marketing Inc/Finnabair for distressing the guest towel holder.
I chose S.E.I.'s "Silver Valley" (an older paper collection) for the photo mats and elements. Not sure if you can still get the Silver Valley collection. I purchased it several years ago and decided to use up the few remaining pieces and ephemera I had for this project.
I used birds and florals purchased from Michael's to top the arms of the guest towel holder.
For the lanterns, I used transparency film which was embossed with a holographic embossing powder from Ranger.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain and Faded Jeans for stamping and highlighting edges for the pages. And, I used Gina K Designs Premium Dye Ink in Cherry Red for stamping.
The embossed snowflakes were made by using Stampin'Up Snow Swirled Stamp Set, and the Deck the Halls/25 were made with Stampin'Up Merry & Type Stamp Set.
My original lantern and link design cut files was created in my Silhouette Designer Edition software.
If you would like to receive a Silhouette file for the links and lanterns I designed, please email me at [email protected].
NOTE: You may need to make file adjustments based on your software, die cutting machine, or project design.
The links were designed and created using Silhouettte chipboard. It is light enough to go through my Cameo 3. I distressed the chipboard links with a variety of Prima Marketing Inc/Finnabair paints, pastes, and waxes.
Below are a few links to the products I used.
