Join me on this Nightscape Astrophotography adventure where I capture the Milky Way under the darkest skies I have ever been. These might be one of the darkest skies in all of Europe. And you might have never heard of it before!
A couple of months ago my wife asked me where I wanted to go on vacation. I showed her lightpollutionmap.info and simply said 'blue or black'. Little did I know that I would be on my way to a hidden bortle 2 astrophotography gem: Korcula Island in Croatia.
After a long travel day I directly pull an all-nighter because clear skies were forecasted. I have an amazing night where I make my best, most detailed, photos of the milky way galactic core yet. On the second night I get nervous in the most secluded, quiet and dark place I have ever been to on my own.
I use an astromodified Canon 6D with a Sigma Art 14-24 f/2.8 and Canon 50mm f/1.8 (nifty fifty) lens, riding on a Skywatcher Star Adventurer Star Tracker.
