Day after day, bombs rained down. Homes were destroyed, rice fields turned to ash, and the land itself was scarred beyond recognition. But the people of Vinh Moc refused to surrender.
And so, they made a choice that defied logic and fear.
They went underground.
With nothing but shovels, determination, and an unbreakable will to survive, the villagers of Vinh Moc carved out a hidden world beneath the earth.
For seven years, these tunnels shielded the villagers from one of the most intense bombing campaigns in history.
In 1972, when the bombing finally ceased, the survivors emerged. Their village was gone, but their spirit was not. They rebuilt. They endured.
Today, the Vinh Moc tunnels stand as a powerful reminder of resilience, resourcefulness, and the will to survive.
