SHAMROCK, TEXAS Global Energy Contractors Oil and Gas Services division's Shamrock Texas location is providing midstream infrastructure and connectivity solutions through a wide range of field services. Global Energy Contractors (GEC) President and CEO, Lynnie Long, was on site in the Texas Panhandle describing how GEC is assisting the midstream industry. "I'm standing some two hundred feet from the largest producing oil well in North America, Chesapeake Energy's Thurman Horn 406H. Current flow rate is at 7,300 barrels a day. Global Energy Contractors provides the engineering, construction and project management for midstream support to help get the energy from these oil and gas wells to market," Long said.
Long then traveled a couple of miles from the Thurman Horn well to the largest midstream compressor project in the state of Texas that Global Energy Contractors was the general contractor on. "Most compressor stations in the region contain two or three and sometimes five compressors. We are setting the last of nine massive compressors today and supplying all piping, electrical and connectivity for a turnkey solution for this project. The size and scope of this project gives you an indication of the amount of energy resources that will be generated from the region," Long continued.
