The 15 Rower Category of Tejaswini Boat Race
Started in the year 1970, North Malabar Jalolthsavam or Boat Race or Vallam Kali conducted in the Tejaswini River or Karyankode River near Neelaswar in the Kasaragod District of Kerala. It was the first of its kind in the Northern Kerala and the only boat race untill recently.
Vallam Kali is a majour festival of Kerala held mainly during the Onam seasons. Initially Vallam Kali was conducted in the Southern Kerala but Nowadays it is being conducted in the Northers Kerala also.
