Through their residency of Colombia and Peru in 2018, this renowned multidisciplinary dance collective connected to local students and artists of all ability ranges. Rooted in Bebe Miller’s decades of visionary collaborative leadership, this latest iteration of her company traveled to Peru, where the company led a lecture-demonstration, performed original repertoire, collaborated with differently abled dancers from Kinesfera Company, and danced on camera to support Peru in its World Cup soccer match.
The company also traveled to Colombia, where they led a workshop in creative writing and dance for Afro-Colombian students, as well as teaching and learning technique to and from professional dancers, students with Down syndrome, and folkloric dance specialists. In Peru, the company led a lecture-demonstration, performed original repertoire, collaborated with differently abled dancers from Kinesfera Company, and danced on camera to support Peru in its World Cup soccer match.
