I'm sure this will generate eye-rolls from the pros, but I wanted to be comfortably cool (and not flooded) right away. This might not be the right way, the way you'd do it, etc, but it's the way I did it, and it happened to have worked. In this video, I show you what I did to keep my very old A/C operating, even though the 32 year old drip pan (likely) rusted through. The video shows how I drilled through the deepest "puddle" in the drip pan, fashioned a hose that connects to a condensate pump, and routed the pump output into the drain. I spent a minimum time in the excruciatingly hot attic. When the weather cools-off, I can replace the condensate pan.
