Tips for Using the Slice Tool to Create Highlights and Texture in Your Coloured Pencil Portraits

In this video I introduce the manual pen cutter from Slice, a really amazing tool that will help you create highlights and texture in your coloured pencil portraits.

I've been using this tool for the last couple of years to create texture in my animal portraits. I explain how I use it, how to change blades, and then show some of the pieces I've used it on to help create the fur texture.

I tend to use Clairefontaine Pastelmat and Drafting Film, but the Slice can also be used on hot press water colour paper and other surfaces, just test before you start slicing!
