FEATURES OF REMAINING IN A HIDDEN SEASON – Pt. 8

There are times God keeps people in a hidden season — not to limit them, but to refine their motives, deepen their walk, and purify their hearts. Many remain stuck in that season because their focus is on religion, not Christ. Here are two major features:

1. They Conform to Rules, Not to Christ

Some people are experts at following church rules but strangers to the life of Christ.

• Religion can reform behavior, but only relationship with Jesus transforms character.
• They live by “what is allowed” instead of “what is Christlike.”
• The true Christian life is not self-effort — it is Christ living in us (Galatians 2:20).

Christianity is not about rules that control you; it’s about a Savior who changes you from the inside out.

2. They Boast of Membership, Not Discipleship

Many are faithful to a denomination, yet disconnected from Christ Himself.

• They identify with their church name more than the name of Jesus.
• They know their pastor’s name, but not their own purpose in Christ.
• True followers don’t just attend church — they become the Church.

God is not impressed by membership numbers; He is moved by men and women who follow Jesus daily, in obedience, humility, and surrender.
