A great number of changes have taken place over the years and not just with the traction but also infrastructure. One such station that was greatly altered over time was Rugby (Midland) station. As can be seen in this short video filmed from the former 'down' platform. In 1989 there still existed the two north bay platforms along with the station roof (albeit with glass removed). Additionally the down goods line which now forms a platform line and the removal of the wall station roof support. Also of note at the beginning is the site of the former GEC factory, land now occupied with other buildings.
