Often referred to as ‘Little England’, Nuwaraeliya is one of the cool-climate escapes. Horton Plains is an eerie, starkly beautiful highland plateau popular with walkers that includes the fabled viewpoint of World's End.
The circular trail winds through a land of mountain and valley of mist, rain and sunshine. The dwarf bamboo along the streams , the flaming red color flowers, the beautiful grassland and the cloud forest all form of mosaic that is Horton Plains.
Midway along the trail, Worlds's end provides a spectacular panorama when the clouds part. From 2000m, one can look downward to the thriving tea plantations below. Baker's falls in a beautiful and a magnificent waterfall.
