Concertina player Michelle O'Sullivan from Tralee Co. Kerry, joined on the second tune by her son Conall Mac Thréinfhir on Uilleann Pipes, and her neighbour Paul de Grae on guitar.
"The Wounded Hussar" is a song air that was played by Pádraig O'Keeffe (the Sliabh Luachra Fiddle Master, 1887-1963) from Gleanntán, Castleisland, Co. Kerry. This is sometimes also called The Banks of the Danube.
"Cailleach an Airgid" (The Hag with the Money) is a jig that was played by the great fiddle player Paddy Cronin (1925-2014) from An Ré Bhuí, Gníomh Go Leith, Co. Kerry.
This is a clip from the excellent 6-part TV series "Slí na mBeaglaoich" broadcast on TG4 in 2020.
