On day 7 of the trial, Derek Chauvin’s defense attorney Eric Nelson is seeking a delay in the trial, saying Friday's settlement’s timing was “very suspicious” and “has incredible propensity to taint the jury pool.” Nelson motioned for a continuance and the possibility of moving the trial to another location in the state.
