This video discusses Thai beauty pageant Miss Grand International and former winner, Indian model and actress Rachel Gupta, resigning from her reign as queen and returning her crown. Similar to Miss Universe where contestants show their culture and try to win like a survival show in Bangkok, Thailand Southeast Asia. Miss Grand India from South Asia won the title for the first time in 2024 but she stepped down and released an exposé tell all video about the pageant for mistreatment and alleged corruption in May 2025.

Run by President Nawat Itsaragrisil, this pageant like others shows glamorous luxury fashion, jewelry, hair, and makeup, but queens have complained about the toxic work environment. MGI is a stock exchange-listed company and Nawat said it himself that the multi-million dollar business has to sell products or the corporation will be poor. And as Miss Grand Uganda said, Nawat is a business man. During the sashing ceremony for the 2025 competition, the organization’s vice president Teresa Chaivisut went out of her way to shade Rachel in front of the other contestants saying that the crown was too heavy for last year’s winner. Rachel responded. Pageant coach Lenka Vomocil went viral after she went on a livestream to talk about Rachel too, which she also responded to.

From Southern Africa, model Miss Grand Zimbabwe 2025 Chelsea also complained about MGI being disrespectful and dealing with unequal treatment on Instagram live. The UK fashion model still supports the current winner Filipina Emma Tiglao Miss Grand Philippines 🇵🇭 she also thanked her fans from Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand.
