Fishing Live Baits for Redfish in Sanibel and Captiva Island, FL | High Tide and Deep Mangrove Bays!

Hey everyone! Welcome back for this Part 2 of inshore fishing Sanibel and Captiva Island in SWFL. For this afternoon bite, we follow a high tide deep into the mangroves to find redfish where mangroves, seagrass and sand/mud bottom meet! We had a great time and found many fish! In the morning we had luck fishing outer mangrove islands for snook when the tide started moving in, but as the water got higher we pushed in with the water in search of redfish. Live bait fishing for redfish and snook is one of my favorite types of fishing. It is something I grew up doing with my dad and have always been highly connected to. There is just something special about getting up early, working hard/smart to find and secure your live bait and then find the fish given the constant changing tides and weather conditions.

Everyone has something they connect with and turn into their passion and this is mine. Fishing. It is who I am at my core. A guy who prefers some humid salty air first thing in the morning followed by several hours of it! Haha.
