The Oracle Temple of Alexander the Great in the Siwa Oasis Egypt

This temple was built in the 6th century BC and is located in the Siwa Oasis which is about about 350 miles southwest of Egypt, about 30 miles East of the Libyan border. I felt completely safe being there. The best way to travel to Siwa from Cairo (or Alexandria) is to either take a bus or. hire a driver. There may be flights from Cairo to Siwa during the heavy tourist season. From Alexandria it was about a 7 hours car ride, and from Cairo about 8.5 hours.
Alexander visited Siwa in 331 BC. The video explains why.
