We had to escape the European Schengen zone! While we still had several weeks up our sleeve, we really needed to complete some boat work and didn't want to waste our Schengen days in a marina hard at work.
More than this, Tunisia has long been on my travel wish list and to see it by our own sailboat promised to be an adventurous side-quest to our European summer! With old Arab Medinas, dramatic coastline, Ancient Roman Ruins, and a fascinating colonial past, Tunisia proved to be a destination in its own right, not just an escape from the Schengen area!
If you'd like to show you support, we'd certainly appreciate it!
